Why is it that when people ask you things like, "do you want to have children/buy a house/get married someday?" They expect the answers to be yes/yes/yes. When your answer is no to any or all of them, they're a little taken aback, and then asks you why and never believes you. After I lay out all the reasons why I don't want those things, their final word is always, "you'll change your mind."
It's incredibly insulting, like the opinions I've formed since I was 18 or younger really don't matter or that I haven't continued to get evidence to confirm my choices. I get these questions on a weekly basis. It's really annoying.
